The best we could find is that Maharashtra ban covers the manufacture, usage, sale, transport, distribution, wholesale and retail sale and storage, import of plastic bags with or without handle, and disposable products made out of plastic and thermocol.

We just are not sure if polypropylene bags fall into this distinction but feel they may. Jute bags are allowed under the ban. Shane

Hi, Natalie, and thank you for the question. Neither one can be machine washed. Woven PP can easily be wiped out and cleaned. It is also a stronger material than the NWPP. Hope that helps. Let us know if you have any further questions. We are always here to help. Have a great week. SS
