What’s The Difference Between a Custom/Bulk Order and a Customized In Stock Order?
When you decide to create a customized promotional product with us here at Factory Direct Promos, you have a couple of options to choose from and while the two ways to order may sound confusing, they really aren’t. Let’s break down the differences to help you determine which option is the best fit for you and your brand.
What is a Custom/Bulk Order?
When you need higher bulk quantities of your custom promotional product, you can order from our production facility that is set up to handle custom specific orders and you have complete control over the design. For instance, if you are ordering a reusable bag, you can change the colors of the gusset, adjust the handle length, add a zipper, add pockets, select the material and basically create whatever you want. If you have a vision, we will work with our bulk production facility to help bring your ideas to life. Or if you really like one of our stock options, but you want to make a few tweaks, our custom/bulk facility can make this happen, too.
A customized order takes about 60 – 90 days; this timing takes into account that your product is made to order based on your exact specifications and the finished marketing gear needs to be shipped stateside. Our production facility’s capabilities offer a great value and allows you to completely customize your reusable product while also securing a great value since the higher the quantity of your order the lower the price per unit.
What is a Customized In Stock Order?
If time is tight, you may want to consider a customized In Stock order. Typically we can deliver a domestic order in 1 – 2 weeks. You can select your promotional items from our in stock selection and you can still choose the design of the info printed on your item, as well as the ink colors (we match to PMS colors!). We have a great selection of bags on hand for our most common request, so your likely to find something that will be just right for your needs.
For instance, if you select a reusable bag you can select from an assortment of colors for the bag and we can print the message of your choosing on the bag, but you are unable to alter the design of the bag itself – so the handle length and the size of the bag is as is. One upside though, we require a smaller minimum order for In Stock orders, only 250 units compared to 1,000 units for Custom/Bulk orders. So you could place a smaller order to help get you by until your large custom bulk order arrives.
Comparing the Two Options and Finding the Best Fit For Your Business
